HR Assistant - Visa Administration

Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month contract opening for an HR Assistant.

About the job:

- Manage end-to-end visa application processes (e.g., work permits, visitor visas, business travel visas).
- Prepare, review, and submit application documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate with employees, external agencies, and relevant authorities regarding visa status and requirements.
- Provide clear guidance on visa policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Track application progress and maintain organized records and reports.
- Stay updated on immigration policies and regulatory changes (Canada and international).
- Support urgent or complex visa cases as needed.

The total target annual compensation (based on 2,080 hours per year) ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.

Requirements

About the ideal candidate:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience in visa/immigration support or related field is an asset.
- Familiarity with Canadian immigration processes; international visa knowledge is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
