About this role

## Company
Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco

We are the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco — public servants with a mission to advance the nation’s monetary, financial, and payment systems to build a stronger economy for all Americans. As part of the nation’s central bank, we are committed to understanding and serving the vibrant, expansive communities of the Twelfth District, which covers the nine western states of the U.S. That means we seek and appreciate new perspectives and build opportunities to learn and grow. At the SF Fed, we approach our work with integrity and a commitment to service.

The Regional Engagement team is looking for an energetic, community-minded professional to join us as a Regional Engagement Officer serving Idaho. Our team connects with businesses and communities across the 12th District to gather real-time insights into local economic conditions. It’s an exciting opportunity for a creative, curious outreach professional who enjoys building relationships, bringing people together, speaking to large audiences, and hosting engaging events. If you know Idaho’s business community and are a natural “connector” of people, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a 100% remote opportunity for someone based in the Boise, Idaho, area.

Essential Responsibilities:

·       Collaborate with the Regional Executive and others to develop and implement local business outreach and engagement plans that enhance the Bank’s community presence and reputation in the region.

·       Proactively participate in key business associations and organizations in support of the Bank’s commitment to regional engagement.

·       Locally manage relationships with financial institution senior executives.

·       Identify engagement opportunities by convening forums, special events, and roundtables for purposes of facilitating shared communication on key issues and connecting with local business and banking leaders.

·       Manage the operation of the branch Board of Directors and build a robust portfolio of contacts to advance potential future Board or council prospects to the local Regional Executive.

·       Provide backup support to the local branch Regional Engagement team as requested; actively participate in the local office and management activities of the Salt Lake City Branch as applicable.

Qualities for Success:

·       Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

·       Typically requires twelve or more years of related professional experience, preferably in an external outreach organization.

·       Must reside in the Boise, Idaho area and be willing and able to work as a 100% remote worker.

·       Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% throughout the region as needed.

·       A track record of demonstrated independence, initiative, and influence in the local Idaho region is required.

·       Excellent written, speaking, and presentation skills, and the ability to connect with a range of external parties, particularly at the C-suite level, and audiences across the organization and in the community.

·       Ability to facilitate discussion and understanding of economic issues and monetary policy activities with external contacts.

·       High level of emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust in a variety of relationships through candor, reliability, and authenticity.

·       Proficiency with Salesforce is a plus, but not required.
