  • Full-time

About this role

The Finished Vehicle Network team is responsible for designing, maintaining & continuously optimizing the distribution of our vehicles across EMEA, ensuring both operational & cost efficiency.

As the production of new vehicles increases and production profiles of the different factories change, the network needs to be constantly updated to ensure on time delivery of new vehicles, at the required quality and service levels and the lowest cost possible.

The Network Specialist ensures that all inputs are analysed and understood, then translates these into the most optimal network design possible, including the determination of ports, transport modes and shipping lanes to be used at any given time. That also includes tracking performance of our suppliers, spotting inefficiencies, and collaborating with them to work on an improvement plan.

In addition, the Network Specialist   collaborates with Operations, Procurement, Business Planning, Demand Planning, IT, Finance and Trade departments to contract the suppliers required to fill the network with capacity.

- Monitor logistics network & carrier performance using data-driven methodologies to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities
- Coordinate across Demand Planning, Business Planning, Operations & Procurement to resolve escalations and align on priorities
- Support and drive the systemic implementation of our network design in Tesla’s internal system
- Build and maintain working relationship with vehicle carriers, port operators and other logistics providers as required
- Present analysis and recommendations clearly to a wide audience, including senior leadership

- Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Economics) or a related field
- Strong cross-functional communication, with the ability to build credibility across different stakeholders
- A hands-on operational mindset, and willingness to spend time with Logistics Operations team to understand problems first-hand
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, multitask and prioritize appropriately to meet deadlines
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Fluent in written and spoken English
