Head of APJ Marketing, Strategic Customer and Partner Marketing
- On-site
- Full-time
About this role
Description
As the SCPM Geo Leader for APJ, you will serve as the "Single Threaded Leader” (STL) for AWS marketing in your geography, informing and influencing the full marketing investment across digital, events, partner and ABM to maximize impact in your region. You work backwards to drive key marketing outputs (e.g., perception, Marketing Engaged Framework metrics) from brand to demand across channels. You are an advocate and “voice of the customer” representing the sale leadership and more importantly the growth targets of the Geo. You represent marketing outcomes that deliver revenue to the sales leader on behalf of WW Marketing; you directly own Account Based Marketing and influence the digital; event marketing, partner marketing and other Marketing program/ investments on behalf of your region. You will drive the regional ABM strategy while serving as the single point of accountability for representing your Geo back to all marketing teams.
Key job responsibilities
-Ensure the marketing investments across functions (IDC, Events, Partner Marketing, ABM CoE, Industries, Developer, product marketing, andBrand) is aligned with the marketing growth by customer segment that is needed in your Geo.
- Lead and scale the Account Based Marketing program for your geography, including account selection, coverage strategy, and resource deployment decisions, adapting global ABM playbooks to local market context and building regional ABM capability through hiring, coaching, and upskilling.
- Represent marketing as a unified growth partner to regional sales leadership by participating in business reviews, annual planning, and governance forums, and by owning the investment framework that categorizes country-level marketing spend using a standardized, data-driven model.
- Serve as the region's marketing intelligence expert, translating local customer insights, market dynamics, and cultural moments into actionable briefs for product marketing, industry marketing, public relations, public policy, and analyst relations teams.
- Build and lead an inclusive marketing community across all functions operating in your geography — coaching and developing marketers regardless of reporting line, championing talent progression, and creating collaboration forums that connect global teams to the regional mission.
A day in the life
You open the morning reviewing regional demand metrics, spotting a gap in pipeline coverage for an emerging customer segment. You pull together a brief for the digital and events teams proposing a rebalanced investment mix, then jump into a call with sales leadership to align on priorities for the upcoming quarter. After lunch you lead an ABM working session, reviewing account-level engagement data and coaching your team on refining a precision campaign. You close out the day connecting with a global counterpart to share a local customer story that could inform worldwide messaging.
