The "Special Transport Type Professional (SPTR)" within Supply Chain Integrated Logistics is responsible for fleet management of rail tank cars and tank containers. In the field of fleet management, we are looking for an expert with the following responsibilities:

What We Offer

Rail Operations

- Monitoring of rail transports after checkout towards the customer  Monitoring of transports in various systems
- Contacting counterparts in the respective railway undertakings to gather additional information and to validate mitigation measures
- Interacting with Covestro’s order management colleagues in order to align with the needs of the customer

- Identifying issues in the rail network and derive potential optimization measures from it
- Invoice verification   Of external transports (same transports as monitored)
- Of shunting in the NRW Chemparks   Data aggregation (Excel, Power BI etc.) needed in order to aggregate numbers by different parameters
- Consolidation of different data sources into one
- Aim: automate validation process as much as possible

- Railcar maintenance & repair  Arrange mobile and workshop repairs
- Monitor and reflect the works in a respective system
- Derive  actions for optimization from the data

Filling management

- Manage all rail and truck transport orders for a certain material group in the three NRW sites
- Ensure that the products are leaving the plant by closely aligning
- Tank capacities
- Empty railcar capacities
- available transport orders
- filling capacities
- considering operational short notice actions

- Communication and aligning with Covestro’s dispatching department and marketing
- helpful knowledge in SAP S4Hana MM

The minimum salary on this position is 2000 EUR. The salary can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.

What You Offer

- University, bachelor’s degree or high school diploma preferably in a field of logistics, business administration or general acquired middle education
- Very good written and spoken English and German language is an advantage
- Working experience in fleet management of either trucks, tank containers, railcars or box trailers etc. might be of a great value and it is viewed as an advantage
- Forwarding agent or comparable qualifications with relevant professional experience are highly appreciated
- Knowledge of contract management and invoice verification processes are a big plus
- Knowledge of the international regulations for tank containers (IMDG, ADR, RID) is an advantage
- Understanding of transportation management principles, practices with ability to improve logistic processes
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), SAP TM or other logistic software
