Overview <div>As a Logistics Technician Manager in Cloud Operations and Innovation, you will lead a team that keeps the data center supply chain running smoothly—from inbound deliveries to outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance. You will create a culture of safety, clarity, and accountability while empowering technicians to grow their skills and take ownership of critical processes. </div><div>In this role, you will guide a team of Inventory and Asset Management technicians responsible for inbound and outbound logistics tasks, inventory cycle audits, and data center regulatory compliance activities. You will lead the team in executing warranty processes, managing data bearing device destruction, and ensuring that escalations are handled effectively in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Your leadership will help ensure equipment, parts, and assets are in the right place at the right time so the broader cloud operations organization can deliver reliably for customers. </div>Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Responsibilities <div><ul><li>Lead and develop a team of logistics and inventory technicians by modeling Microsoft leadership principles, setting clear objectives, providing coaching and feedback, and investing in employee growth and development. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including preparing and executing deliveries, documenting packages, and ensuring inventory is stored, tracked, and staged accurately to support data center needs. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Drive excellence in inventory and asset management by enabling inventory cycle audits, ensuring compliance with data center regulatory and certification controls, and resolving escalations that impact operational continuity. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensure that all data bearing devices are destroyed in alignment with security standards, coordinating with third-party vendors as needed and overseeing investigations and documentation related to device handling and decommissioning. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Champion safety practices across shifts by running safety huddles, overseeing equipment inspections and training, and ensuring adherence to Microsoft safety standards for employees and third‑party vendors. </li></ul></div> Qualifications Required Qualifications <ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">High School Diploma AND proven experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, logistics, or a related field OR equivalent experience </li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience in people management OR team leadership OR vendor/team coordination </li></ul>*This role requires you to be on-site, and the location has limited public transport. Your own form of transport is advised. Background Check Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: <ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.</li></ul> Logistics Technician M3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Italy is € 40,600.00 - € 70,600.00 per year.
