About this role

Job Description
Are you a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of legacy stability and future innovation? BAE Systems is seeking a data-driven, detail-oriented , and proactive Program Manager to serve as the primary functional and technical authority for the Supportability Analytics and Metrics (SAM) team in direct support of the Minuteman III Weapon System Program Office. This role is a critical bridge between strategy and sustainment, ensuring that supply chain constraints are addressed early to prevent downstream failures and providing comprehensive support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) spanning multiple complex projects. You will lead a team of Logistics Analysts, aligning their outputs with corporate standards while spearheading the predictive analysis necessary to move from reactive to proactive risk management. By combining senior management functions—such as personnel development and resource allocation—with deep technical expertise in supportability analysis and obsolescence mitigation, you will ensure uninterrupted mission support and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Administrative Management

- Personnel Oversight : Serve as the primary administrative authority for the SAM team, managing all aspects of personnel leadership, including time and leave approvals, resource allocation, and the professional development of Logistics Analysts.
- Performance & Quality Control : Lead the evaluation of Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs) for the team and establish formal process documentation to ensure strict compliance and quality across all logistics functions.
- Strategic Guidance : Provide senior management functions as required, translating complex logistics data into actionable insights for high-level program reviews and IPT decision-making.

Predictive Logistics & Sustainment Execution

- Early Warning Detection : Direct the team in the use of maintenance data management and trend monitoring to identify supply chain, vendor, and part-level risks before they impact operational readiness.
- Demand Forecasting & Resource Allocation : Utilize predictive analysis to forecast supply-demand trends, enabling the proactive allocation of resources to meet operational requirements.
- Advanced Root Cause Analysis : Lead "deep dive" analyses into part families with recurring shortfalls or projected negative inventories to uncover and resolve systemic root causes, identifying substitute parts and commercial sourcing options to mitigate risk.
- Rapid Issue Resolution : Lead the rapid resolution of critical item shortfalls by performing targeted data breakdowns of historical demand, lead-time volatility, and vendor performance trends.
- Obsolescence Mitigation : Produce critical sustainment reports and generate proactive, detailed solutions for obsolescence to ensure uninterrupted fleet support and optimized resource allocation.
