Digital Services Development Support and Operations Internship Summer 2027

This is a full time (40 hours/week), 14-week hybrid summer internship that will occur during one of the below time frames:

- May 3 - August 13, 2027

- May 10 - August 20, 2027

Open to hiring candidates that reside anywhere near our three primary regions:

- West (Grand Rapids)
- East (Southfield)
- South (St. Joseph)

Job Summary

This team plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the custom software solutions developed over the past two decades at Priority Health. By ensuring these systems run smoothly and efficiently, they directly support our mission to improve health, instill humanity, and inspire hope. Their work helps provide reliable and innovative tools that empower healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and support to our community. This team loves variety and collaboration. Essential Functions

- System Enhancements: Help improve our software by adding new features or making it run smoother. You’ll work with our business customers on improvements and bring your ideas to life.
- Bug Fixing and Troubleshooting: Get hands-on experience by finding and fixing issues in our systems. It’s a great way to learn the ins and outs of our software and keep everything running smoothly.
- Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
- Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken.
- May analyzes department processes and other Spectrum Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
- Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

Qualifications

Required

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in area of accountability. May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
