Intern - Software Engineering

MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a student pursuing a bachelor's degree program in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field graduating later than August 2027. Software Engineering interns will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that occur within the energy industry. Interns will have the opportunity to use their knowledge and skills learned through college and apply them to the workplace. The position is temporary, nonexempt, and full-time/hourly.

Interns gain hands-on experience working alongside industry professionals, developing technical skills, and contributing to meaningful projects that support our customers and communities. They can apply classroom learning in a professional setting while participating in networking events, leadership forums, and learning opportunities throughout the summer, including MidAmerican Energy's annual three-day intern event in Des Moines.

- Must be a college student, sophomore or higher standing, currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field.
- Must be available May-August 2027. Opportunity for earlier start date during the academic year.
