About this role
Introduction to the job
ASML develops some of the world’s most advanced lithography systems, combining precision mechanics, controls, electronics, software, sensors and actuators to enable extremely accurate and reliable system performance.
Our engineering teams in Wilton, CT work on complex mechatronic systems where precision motion, controls, dynamics and system integration come together. We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineering Intern interested in applying engineering fundamentals to real-world challenges in advanced precision systems.
You will work alongside experienced engineers on a real mechatronics or system-performance challenge, with the assignment tailored to your technical background and learning objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Modeling and analyzing dynamic or mechatronic system behavior.
- Using MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar engineering tools for simulation and data analysis.
- Analyzing test and measurement data to understand system performance and identify potential root causes.
- Supporting structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of technical issues.
- Planning and executing experiments, tests or validation activities in the lab or on ASML equipment.
- Comparing measured behavior with models or expected system performance and developing practical recommendations.
- Collaborating with engineers across mechatronics, controls, mechanical, electrical, software and system disciplines.
- Documenting your work and presenting your findings and recommendations to the engineering team.
The internship provides a combination of analysis, modeling and hands-on engineering, giving you the opportunity to see how engineering fundamentals are applied to complex high-performance systems.
